Michael Ed Bates aka The Song Wrangler, is an award winning journalist who has interviewed, written about, and followed music and musicians for most of five decades. Named after a song by the Dean of Texas Songwriters, Guy Clark, the Lone Star Hotel reflects that experience with an emphasis on Texas singer/songwriters, Americana and roots blues, country, folk and rock from the 1920’s to the 1960’s.
